Dear friends,

Pictures: Our pastor Jan Gillisjans visiting; on Sunday in the Gampela church; lots of people!; Jiska is 12!!

Dear friends,

In the meanwhile, the April heat has come.. We get 42°C during the day and 29°C at night.

We surely hope the nights will stay reasonable next week, we are going to do a mobile clinic in a remote place called Mahadaga, 8-9h East from the capital with a team of 27 people. This clinic has been planned for quite a while and a group of 10 students of Lydia’s school are coming on a Mission Trip to help us. They prepared a bible story and games for the children and most of the 10 students are interested in medical work. It’s going to be an adventure, because we also need to cook ourselves and make sure we don’t forget to bring essential things because there’s not much available there. Our own children are coming too, they look forward to the trip!

We hope to see between 500-700 children and will do the trip in different stages. The end of the road is really bad and we travel with several cars. We appreciate your prayers for this week! We leave for the first leg of the trip on Sunday afternoon, and hope to be back in Ouagadougou around noon on April 11.

We also would appreciate your prayers for my (Ineke’s) trip to Belgium that same night. I’m going to meet Lydia, who will be in Belgium already. She needs a procedure on April 14 and we are thankful that I can be there with her. After bringing Lydia back to school, I will travel back to Burkina Faso where Peter, Jiska and Phoebe continue their work/school.

We are thankful for: The mobile clinic in Réo two weeks ago where 500 children were treated, Ineke’s trip to belgium, Lydia’s procedure, and that Ineke is regaining some strength after being quite sick last week.

Please pray for: Lydia’s procedure on April 14th, that all will go well. For Peter, Jiska and Phebe who stay in Burkina, for a good clinic next week and that many children will be touched by the love of Christ, for no technical problems with the trucks, for health while not sleeping great with the heat, that we would make it in time to Ouaga as planned. Liesbeth, who is pretty tired as she finishes her term after an exceptional long and cold winter. The temperature is finally above 0°C again!

Many greetings from us all, God bless!

Peter, Ineke, Liesbeth, Lydia, Jiska and Phebe Van Dingenen
